Come on out and see our famous Clydesdale horses as they pull our wagon around town for our wagon tours, and if you are lucky, see them working out fields. Keep posted for dates when they will be working the fields with our collection of heritage farm equipment.
Our Fort Steele Cotswold heritage breed sheep can be seen in fields around the town, as they graze in our hay fields - green and lush this time of year. Our sheep were sheared in April, and there will shortly be a stock of yarn from the Fort Steele Cotswold breed sheep available for sale at Kershaw's General Store.
Our Chantecler and Barredrock heritage breed chickens are in their coops at the back of the Lambi House. We will be growing chicks over the course of the summer.
Our Muscovy ducks are in a pen nearby as well. Our Large Black Hog and our Slate Turkeys are also in their pens across the street to the east.
We have a concentration of animals within a short distance from each other for children to see. This is not a petting zoo, but kids will find it fascinating to run about looking at our sheep, chickens, ducks and Highland cows. There's a nice shady spot for their parents to have a seat as well. You can find this behind the Lambi House, where you may also be able to catch interpreters running through their household chores. If you're lucky there may be some samples of Johnny cake on offer! We will be moving more animals to that location soon.
