Foals have been named!

Our two foals have been named...   Mary-Jane's colt - Hunter Dinty Moore - Born June 9    Al Hunter and Dinty Moore were two gentlemen who were instrumental in preserving Fort Steele as a Heritage Site. Melissa's filly - Shay Lima - Born May 28   The Shay locomotive was the most widely used geared steam locomotive. McVittie House

McVittie House
15 Years in the making!  McVittie House is now open to receive visitors. Though still under development, visitors can see the beautifully restored residence of Thomas and Anna McVittie, and can also see further restoration work as it progresses. New interpretive signage is mounted outside the house that relates the history of the house and survey office.  The survey office is expected to be completed and open in 2015.

  August 5 & 6, 2014 Our Steam Engine will not be operating during these days. It will be undergoing its scheduled boiler wash service and will be up and running again on August 7th.
